Elif Tutka

Born in 1984 in İstanbul, Elif Tutka graduated from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Department of Painting in 2010. Having worked as an artist assistant at Ekrem Yalçındağ Studio until 2015, the artist’s works reflect humans’ relationship with nature from a realistic and tangible perspective, combining optic designs with elements directly taken from nature and interpreting the concepts of existence and extinction through the long-term relationship of man and nature. In 2018 she exhibited her works in conjunction with the “Simurg Şem-ü Pervane” theatre play, bringing different disciplines together, and she continues to work at her studio in Istanbul.
